The introduction of the new testing and assessment in 2016 means that the results this year cannot be compared with 2015 and need to be looked separately.  The teachers now have a firm understanding of the new higher expectations for the curriculum and the deeper understanding and learning that needs to be embedded.  We are expecting results in 2017 to improve and be more in line with national expectations.
